2 1/2 years ago, my sweet 5 year old was struggle with anxiety and panic attacks.. within 6 months, she was withdrawn from everyone, she was in a fetal position and non responsive to anyone in my family except me... she talked about death everyday... struggling with her life... daycare and school.. I looked everywhere for help... finally... she was diagosed.. we were blessed to be introduced to "Hippotherapy".. the horses release endorphyms that calm her down... and she can deal with her life now.... she is also on 75 mg zoloft daily which helps her cope.... her project today was to paint the horse than Charlie... (her Paw Paw's name)... and boy, did she paint!
I love you Madison Grace.. I love your zest for life now... and proud that you have overcome so muchin such a short life!
There is nothing worse than watching your child experience panic attacks and no that nothing YOU can do will help. Zach had them for about 2 years. He too took medication until one day he simply said " I dont need this anymore mom" so we did the slow decrease and he hasn't had an attack or a pill in over 2 years. You are an awesome mom Marci!!
Tina, that is awesome.. and thank you for a sign of "recovery" and manage for my child... you two are awesome! Zach is awesome and you are A # 1 mom!!!!!!!! I am so lucky to have you in my life! Congrats tonight!
What progress this little angel has made :) I'm sure it was torture , for you as a mom, to see her go through it...it's a very dark and scary condition to go through....she has a mom who doesn't stop...that's for sure :)
